MIPEX-06 [CH₄] is an ultra-low power NDIR sensor in the 4th series housing with standard-pin configuration. It is developed for automatic continuous measurement of methane in explosive atmospheres.

Features

MIPEX-06 [CH₄] is designed for integration into portable detectors, battery-powered personal clip devices and wireless fixed gas analyzers. Its combination of low-power consumption and high measurement reliability allows detectors to work more years autonomously on a single battery reducing financial costs and frequency of service in hard-to-reach or hazardous areas.

    Returns linearized and temperature-compensated digital output via UART interface.

  • TECHNOLOGY

    Non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensing founded on selective absorption of infrared light, utilizing a dual-wavelength LED-based method to minimize the effects of humidity, dust, and optical contamination.

  • EXPLOSION-PROOF DESIGN

    Intrinsically safe explosion protection level “ia” in compliance with: IECEx, ATEX, UL913, CSA.

    Durable plastic housing ⌀20.1×16.6 mm with standard-pin configuration.

The outstanding ultra-low power consumption of 0.2 mW allows the MIPEX-05 in standard housing to be used effectively in the manufacture of customized portable gas devices and wireless measurement systems for the monitoring of combustible methane, hydrocarbons and CO₂ gases with long battery life. Its power consumption is 10 times lower than that of the previous MIPEX-02 model.

MIPEX-05 ppm is a high-sensitivity version of an ultra-low power infrared gas sensor in the 4th series housing with 10 ppm resolution for hydrocarbons measurement in ppm and LEL concentrations. Due to low-power consumption and high resolution, it allows battery-powered gas detectors to last years without charge and detect low concentrations.
